Focus: We’re certainly supposed to take care of our brothers and sisters in Christ, but we’re also commanded to open our doors and extend invitations to people we don’t know as well, to help anyone in need. This is one of the ways Jesus challenges with the Parable of the Good Samaritan, as we see that “neighbor” isn’t defined by proximity, but describes one who acts to care for someone in need.
